Dr Purcell 10

Susan Purcell, M.D.

Dr. Susan Purcell has been delivering the highest quality health care for patients since 1995. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Rutgers University and a Master of Business Administration from Rutgers School of Business. She attended Jefferson Medical College, where she earned her medical degree. She also went on to complete an Internal Medicine internship and residency at Jefferson. Dr. Purcell is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and a member of the American College of Physicians and the Pennsylvania Medical Society.

Alan I. Abramowitz, D.O.

Dr. Alan Abramowitz has been providing the highest standard of health care for his patients since 1989. He graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine with his Doctorate of Osteopathy, and completed internships and residencies at Metropolitan Hospital and Hahnemann University Hospital. Board Certified, he maintains memberships with the American College of Physicians, Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medicine Association, Bucks County Physician Hospital Alliance, American Osteopathic Association (AOA) and the Pennsylvania Medical Society.

Dr. Abramowitz is a Martial Arts Instructor (Krav Maga) for men and women's self-defense and rape prevention. He is a supporter of the National Kidney Foundation. He is an avid runner and was a finisher in the 2017 Marine Corps Marathon 26.2 miles. He serves as the Medical Director of several nursing homes in our area, for over 15 years, as well as, acting Hospice Medical Director. 

Dr. Abramowitz was awarded Certified Medical Director by the Society for Post-Acute & Long-Term Care Medicine. In addition, he was voted 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 Castle Conolly Top Doctor - Fountainville and 2017, 2018, 2019 Philly Top Doctor - Internal Medicine Physician in Fountainville.

Susan Lipson, M.D.

Dr. Susan Lipson has been practicing family medicine since 2006, providing care in a variety of settings. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from The Pennsylvania State University in 1998. She attended Jefferson Medical college where she earned her medical degree in 2003. Dr. Lipson completed her Family Medicine residency at Crozer and went on to become faculty at the University of Pennsylvania Family Medicine residency program. She then practiced in Delaware at a federally funded clinic for the underserved and often uninsured population. Most recently, she has been practicing family medicine without obstetrics, though she continues with her dedication to women’s health. As she has progressed though her career, her strengths now lie in her passion for preventive medicine as well as open dialogues with patients to allow patients to be a part of their own medical decision making.

Diane Blackman 22

Diane Blackman, CRNP

Diane Blackman is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner. She graduated magna cum laude from Immaculata University with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Her nursing experience included seventeen years as an Emergency Room nurse at Doylestown Hospital. She decided to advance her education and she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University, graduating cum laude.  Most recently Diane had been with the Hospitalist Group at Doylestown Hospital providing care to acutely ill patients in an inpatient setting. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as well as the Bux-Mont Nurse Practitioner Group.

Maggie Welch 50

Margaret Welch, CRNP

Margaret "Maggie" Welch is a certified adult-gerontology nurse practitioner. She earned a Bachelor's of Public Health from The University of Tampa and a Bachelor's of Nursing from South University. As a Registered Nurse, Margaret worked in the busiest emergency department in the nation, Lakeland Regional Health, with a special interest in critical care and trauma.  She also has experience in post-anesthesia recovery. She earned her master's degree in nursing from The University of Tampa in 2017 and worked in an urgent care before moving north.

Maggie grew up in Doylestown and is happy to be back in the area. She is a member of the Bux-Mont Nurse Practitioner Group.

Michael Wortell

Michael Wortell, DNP, FNP-BC

Michael Wortell is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner. He earned his Bachelor’s of Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University, graduating magna cum laude. As an RN he practiced in a variety of settings, ranging from adolescent psychiatry, to in-patient telemetry, and concluding with several years in a medical Intensive Care Unit at Doylestown Hospital. After earning his Master’s degree at Thomas Jefferson University, he practiced as a Hospitalist at Doylestown Hospital, caring for a wide array of acute care patients. He also went on to earn his Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Thomas Jefferson University.

Michael grew up in the Doylestown area and is grateful to be serving patients in the community that gave him the opportunity to become the Provider he is today.
